Chestnut season in Australia runs from March to June and now is the perfect time to enjoy fresh chestnuts — just as the nights are getting colder and winter weather is kicking in. If you’ve never made roasted chestnuts before, then here’s your chance. It’s so simple to do and everyone can do it.
If you haven’t had pita before, it is a traditional Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flat bread. It is soft and elastic with a slightly chewy texture and usually have pockets in the middle. I love to eat it with dips but it is also great as a sandwich wrap or filled with whatever fillings you like. Despite its unique texture and delicious flavour, it is surprisingly easy and fun to make.
